Answer: Electrolaser welders rely on distilled water for cooling. Check the reservoir level gauge located at the back/side of the machine weekly. If low, top up using distilled or deionised water only (never tap water). Ensure the machine is turned off before topping up, and replace the cooling water completely every 6 to 12 months depending on usage.

Answer: Poor welding efficiency or off-center alignment is usually due to a dirty or damaged protective lens. Inspect the crosshairs in the stereo microscope—if the laser beam isn't firing directly at the focal point, clean the protective optic glass with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free optics cloth. If the lens is pitted or scratched, replace it immediately to prevent internal optics damage.

Answer: Dust or smoke residue on the binocular eyepieces and objective lens can obscure your view. Clean the outer lenses using an air blower first to remove loose debris, followed by gentle wipes with optical cleaning solution and lens paper. Never use abrasive materials or standard glass cleaners.

Answer: Ensure your Argon gas bottle regulator is set to the correct flow rate (typically 3–5 liters per minute). Check all gas lines and push-fit connectors for kinks or leaks. Inspect the gas nozzle flexible arm near the welding chamber to ensure it isn't blocked by debris.

Answer: Ensure the unit is completely powered off and unplugged. Unscrew the retention ring on the optics chamber, carefully remove the old protective glass using lens tweezers, and slot in the fresh glass disc without touching the center with bare fingers.
